They usually run on either petrol or diesel. Commonly, everyone knows the default two types of cars, cars that run on petrol, cars that run on diesel. But in this world of advanced technology and high-tech engineering, the creator has come up with another segment of cars that can bring out a huge revolution in the world of transportation. These types of cars are known as Electric Cars.

What are Electric Cars?

As the name itself implies that electric cars, also known as EV which are short for Electric vehicles, are a type of car either partially or fully run by electricity. Electric cars are highly environment friendly and eco-friendly, unlike the cars which require petrol or diesel which seems really harmful for nature and the environment. Every day we see due to the gases released by diesel or petrol vehicles causes a high amount of air pollution and destroys the environment altogether. For the concern of air pollution rises among the generation this type of vehicles can be a real helping hand in improving the environment and provide more convenience in the transportation business.

Why electric cars are so effective? Well, here are some of the many features and advantages electric cars provide.

Benefits of electric cars

No fuel: one of the biggest advantages of having electric cars is that you don’t have to spend your money on unnecessary fuels like petrol and diesel whose prices seem to be skyrocketing every upcoming day. Due to these cars being run on electricity, they save you the trouble of spending your hard-earned money from being burned in fuel. having no fluid like petrol or diesel in the car also saves you the danger of causing any accidents due to leakage of fuel.

Savings

An average person with a car spends approximately one-third of his salary on vehicle fuel so that he can get his car running every day without any hassle. This can be a great blow to his wallet and sometimes can get him in real financial troubles. In electric cars however you are saved from this trouble as they run on electricity. You do not have to spend money on fuels on gases only takes a portion of your electricity and saves you all the trouble of spending an enormous amount of money on car fuel.

It only requires electricity just like any other appliances in your house. Just plug it in, recharge it and you will be ready to go.

No Noise Pollution

Along with reducing air pollution electric cars also contributes greatly to reducing noise pollution. The engines in a regular diesel or petrol car are usually very loud and produce a lot of unnecessary noises causing noise pollution. Electric car engines, on the other hand, are run by electricity, therefore, there are smoother and much quieter compared to regular cars.

Safety

These cars are also useful for safety purposes. Where there is a constant danger of regular cars getting into an accident due to fuel leakage or some kind of horrible mishappening on petrol pumps, electric cars save you from the trouble as well. With electricity being its only source of recharge and function, they are much safer compared to regular cars.

Maintenance

maintenance in regular cars can be a real headache for the user as the vehicle requires regular maintenance checkups once or twice a year. For one or two years the maintenance can be free but after that when the car starts to get old the maintenance cost starts going up. These maintenances can make a big hole in your pockets and rip you off of lots of money. In electric cars, however, you need not face such hassle as these cars do not require major maintenances. This way it is hassle-free and more time-saving.

Being one of the most convenient, eco-friendly, and safe transportation, electric vehicles are highly in demand within the generation. As it is getting popular worldwide, they are equally being loved in India. India is a country where some cities are facing a heavy quantity of air pollution in the environment.
