Hello and welcome to Ajanabha Digital ! In this article I will tell you how to increase blog traffic with the help of beautiful graphic designs.
Most people will know that content is incredibly important for marketing, but do you know how important it is to have graphic design as part of your content strategy as well. Using beautiful graphic design elements in your content strategy can be hugely beneficial to your business.
Why Do Graphics Help Increase Web Traffic?
Studies have found that including images in your blog content can actually increase the traffic to your website, and help keep people on your site for a longer period of time. The brain can process visual information much faster than written information. In fact, around 90% of the information our brains process is visual information. Also, roughly 40% of people are visual learners, and these people respond well to images, infographics, and other forms of visual content.
Other studies have shown that there is a ‘right’ amount of images to post with your written content. Buzzsumo’s research shows that one image every 75 to 100 words gives the best results with your users. Posts with this ratio of images are shared twice as often as posts without it.
What Kind Of Graphics Should Be Included In Your Content?
All your graphics should be relevant to the content you’re embedding them in. In fact, blog posts with relevant images and graphics get 94% more views than content with irrelevant images and graphics.
Custom Graphics
Custom graphics tend to get a better response from your website users than stock images. Part of the reason is that they can be made a little more relevant to the content, and they can be a little more personal to your business. You can create your own custom graphics using a graphic design tool, like this one. If you are going to create your own custom images, make sure that you can include product images, or logos specific to your business, when it’s relevant to do so. Also, make sure that you write the content first, before creating the images, so that you can create highly relevant graphics to match.
Infographics
Visitors respond well to infographics. An infographic can be used to take complicated concepts, facts, figures, and statistics and turn them into more easily understood, bite-size pieces of information. It’s visually presented, which makes it much easier for the reader to grasp.
You can create original infographics to add to a new blog post, but sometimes it can make more sense and have more impact to go over your old posts. Look for ones that are heavy on facts, figures, and statistics. Check over ones that try to describe some of the more complex concepts of your industry in a purely written format. Repurpose this content into an infographic, and add that into the existing content.
Social Media
When you’re sharing your blog posts, and content on your social media platforms, make sure that you include an image, or graphic with it. You can also create images, graphics, and infographics to share on social media, with a link back to the relevant blog post on your site.
Not every post can or should be turned into an infographic, so you need to think about other graphics as well. Perhaps one of your blogs would be better as a step-by-step guide graphic, or there’s a quotable section that could be turned into a highly visual graphic. You could even take a screenshot of a section of the blog post, and post it on your social media profiles as a sneak peeks of the post. Make sure that you include a link back to the post itself.
